Chinese electric car manufacturer Zeekr has begun pre-sales for the updated version of its popular 001 model. The car will arrive in showrooms on October 4th, with the official launch on October 11th. The new model is particularly notable for its significant improvements in power and battery technology.
The Zeekr 001 Comes with an Updated Version
While the vehicle’s exterior design remains largely unchanged, its technical infrastructure has been completely revamped. Unlike the 800-volt system in the previous model, the new 001 now features a 900-volt high-voltage architecture in all versions.
The updated Zeekr 001 boasts a significant performance boost. The all-wheel drive (AWD) version produces 912 horsepower (680 kW), accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.83 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 280 km/h.
The most powerful version of the previous model produced 580 kW of power and accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds. The rear-wheel drive (RWD) version of the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.98 seconds.
The vehicle is equipped with two different battery options. The 95 kWh Zeekr Golden Battery offers a range of up to 710 kilometers according to CLTC standards. This battery, featuring a 12C peak charge rate, is compatible with a 1.2 MW charger and charges the battery from 10 percent to 80 percent in 7 minutes, providing an additional range of 500 kilometers.
The other option, the 103 kWh CATL Qilin Battery, offers a CLTC range of 810 kilometers. This battery has a 6C peak charge rate and provides an additional range of 570 kilometers with a 10-80 percent charge in 10 minutes.
The updated model also comes standard with the Zeekr G-Pilot H7 driver assistance system. This system is equipped with 31 sensing components, including LiDAR, and an Nvidia Drive Thor-U chip with 700 TOPS of total processing power.
